Here are a few short notes to help you understand your medical bill:

• Remember that the physicians, radiologists, anesthesiologists and pathologists are not employed by the hospital. Each physician will bill you separately for his or her services. Should you have questions about your physician's bills, please contact their offices directly.
• Your daily service charge provides your room, nursing care, meals, housekeeping, linen and other support services.
• Additional charges may be made for services ordered by your physician such as X-rays, laboratory tests, medical supplies, oxygen, diagnostics and therapeutic services.
