Allye Zachary, Stroke Victim at Age 28, Thanks Students for Help
There wasnt a dry eye in the classroom when Allye Zachary returned to her seventh grade classroom to say thank you to the students who took fast action when she had a stroke a week before Christmas. Allye was in the middle of teaching her math class on December 18 when her whole body, especially her head, suddenly felt very heavy. Then her speech began slurring and she felt dizzy. Her students knew something was wrong and went to get help. At age 28, Allye had experienced a major stroke which had completely paralyzed her left side.

On August 25, 2002 Casey Hastings woke up at 21 years of age and could not feel her right leg. She was unable to walk or turn her foot. Her grandmother called the doctor and he told them to go to the emergency room immediately. The closest ER to Casey was Skyline Medical Center.
